Hi... I am Athira
I am an industrial designer from the National Institute of Design Ahmadabad. I am also an Architect and an artist by passion.
My educational and professional experience in architecture always helped me to appreciate furniture design as an integral part of the architecture. I joined NID with the interest of exploring more about furniture design, which further allowed me to develop my skills and interests in wood-metal-and bamboo working, prototyping, and exploring different materials.
I believe in process-oriented design and I always appreciate the concept of 'form follows function'.
Other than design I enjoy spending time on artworks, my childhood passion. I find a deep sense of intimacy and belonging in Malayalam literature. That's how I always hold my home, Kerala close to my heart.
